How can we help?

FAQs

Ordering

Can I make a custom order?

Yes you can. We often do custom orders with products that we source outside of the store especially for you. Phone us at 09 357 6161 or email us service@wildpoppies.co.nz at least 24 hours before delivery time with what you would like and we will get back to you asap with a price and your options. We can do most products including gift vouchers, specialised spirits and different food items.

Does Wild Poppies do events?

Absolutely- we’ve done arrangements for weddings, photoshoots and work functions so just give us a call or send us an email to social@wildpoppies.co.nz with what you’re looking for and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

How can I pay for my order?

When you order online, you can choose from a variety of secure payment methods:

Credit card (or debit
card):
This is the fastest option for your order to be shipped.

Debit card: You
can use your debit card just like a credit card.

PayPal: A secure
online payment system.

Afterpay: Spread
your order cost over several instalments.

Bank deposit:
Please reach out to our team via phone or email for further details.

Please note: We
don't send an order until the payment clears, so if you are in a hurry for your
order to be sent out, credit card may be the best option.

Ordering by phone:
We will take your payment by credit card over the phone and email you a
receipt.

Business
accounts:
If
your business or organization orders from us frequently, you can set up an
account for invoicing. Simply choose "account" as your payment option
at checkout.

What happens if I'm not at home when the order arrives?

If you've provided specific delivery instructions (e.g.,
leave at the back door), our courier will follow them.

If there are no instructions and a phone number is included,
the courier will attempt to contact you for further guidance. Please note: Our drivers cannot make
international calls.

If we can't reach you and the location is secure
(out of the elements and not on the street), the courier may leave your
package. Photos of the delivery location and tracking information are available
upon request.
Please Double-check your delivery address: As this helps ensure a smooth
delivery. Additional fees may apply if your package needs to be redirected.

Do you deliver to PO Boxes?

No, we require a physical address to complete your delivery. Please see our delivery page for more information.

Do you deliver on weekends?

We are open 8 am - 12:30 PM on Saturday to make Auckland deliveries, and recommend you have your order on the Friday before to be safest or 10 AM Saturday for same-day delivery.

Couriers don't operate on a Sunday so we won't be open- the exception, of course, is special events like Mothers Day or Valentines Day! Please see our delivery page for more information.

Are the credit card details I submit secure?

Wild Poppies endeavours to always stay up to date with the latest security measures. Credit card payments are processed via Payment Express.

How do I know if an address is rural?

“RD” stands for rural delivery, so if an address includes this it will be a rural address. Alternatively, you can check using the NZ Couriers tool in the link below- it’s the same one we use!

Do you have a physical store?

Yes! We're conveniently located at 36 Ethel Street,
Sandringham.  If you're in the area, pop
in and say hello!  Learn more about our

Does Wild Poppies do events?

Absolutely- we’ve done arrangements for weddings, photoshoots and work functions so just give us a call or send us an email to social@wildpoppies.co.nz  with what you’re looking for and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

What is the difference between a posy and a bouquet?

Put simply, a posy is shorter stemmed and more compact in appearance and a bouquet is longer stemmed and generally larger in size.

Can you do special icing on a cake?

We try our best to accommodate requests but recommend you call first, with as much notice as possible, if you have special requests regarding cakes or cupcakes.

Will my bouquet look exactly like the picture?

We make everything to order, using the freshest products available- if a particular flower variety is unavailable for whatever reason, we will substitute it for as close a match as we can get for both style and colour.

Do you do gluten free/dairy free/egg free/nut free?

We currently stock Petal gluten free cupcakes but are not stocking any dairy free or egg free baked goods at this time.

While we do stock goods that aren’t made with nuts, they are made in a commercial kitchen where nuts may be present.

How will my gift be packaged?

At Wild Poppies all of our flowers leave the store with a sufficient water pack, to ensure freshness upon delivery.

We wrap our posies and bouquets in crisp white paper, natural brown waxed paper or tulle, as specified on each products description tab.

Arrangements in containers and posy pots will be wrapped in crisp white paper, natural brown waxed paper or a quality carry bag with ribbon handles.

Our deliveries to the wider New Zealand areas are wrapped the same as Auckland deliveries, and are then placed in a water proof poly bag and a protective white box with tissue and bubble wrap depending on the nature of the product.

We type and print your message in either a Wild Poppies signature card or you can purchase a special gift card to go with your order. We are happy to handwrite cards for you too if you prefer, just ask in the delivery instructions box!

What quality can I expect from Wild Poppies?

We only use the highest grade, longest lasting flowers and quality, boutique products. We ensure that your recipient will be blown away with our flowers and products.

At Wild Poppies we believe that we send out great value for your money- you are paying for quality flowers and gifts, arranged with artistic value and premium packaging.

We only employ senior florists with vast industry experience and flair for design; who enjoy keeping up to date with current floral and fashion trends.

We believe that you are far better off to deal directly with an individual flower shop rather than spending your money on the big flower delivery corporations and forfeiting up to 25% on fees. We believe this is simply not fair, and for this reason we give you the complete value you deserve.

How long do flowers last?

A lot depends on the type of flower as some are hardier than others, but we always endeavour to send the freshest products possible so that they last as long as possible. For specific enquiries about how long a particular flower will last please feel free to give us a call. There’s more information here about how to prolong the life of your flowers on our Returns Policy page.

How do reward points work?

The pop up Rewards area will initially show the points you have earned. Click the “Spend Your Points” button to view the Rewards you can redeem. Select the Earn Points Tab to see how you can earn more Points. Check out our Rewards page for more information.
