People always ask us, "What's different about the flowers you send, and the flowers delivered by other florists?". It's a great Question because we love to answer it. But before we do, let's see if you are like most people when it comes to sending flowers:

Do you normally send flowers for a special reason? Of course you do! The reasons to send them are endless - from wedding flowers, birthday flowers, funeral flowers, I love you flowers...the list goes on...

It's a generalisation, but after more than a decade in the flower business, we believe the underlying message for people sending flowers is RESPECT, AFFECTION, GRATITUDE & LOVE.

And that's where the problem is! Why? Because most (not all) florists are simply cookie-cutter factory production lines that send out the same uninspired grey product - day after day. And they do it without LOVE!

It's true. Dealing and receiving flowers from most florists is about as inspiring as having your infected tooth extracted by a grumpy dentist.

Where's the love?

If you accept that the true meaning of sending flowers is respect, affection, gratitude and love, and you had the chance to use a company who were able to convey that with inspired art packed with emotion...and it didn't cost any more, would you give them a try?

The transfer of respect, affection, gratitude and love is how we are different. And it's free. Our labour of love is TRULY a labour of love - and we think this makes all the difference. It comes down to caring about our art (what we do with flowers and people IS art), by caring about our designs, caring about style, caring about presentation, caring about quality - but mainly...caring about you.

Sure, there's no quantifiable way we can measure this stuff. Just like there's no quantifiable way you can measure how you feel when you hold a newborn baby in your arms. But we don't care. All we know is that at Wildpoppies when we handle an order of flowers from you, we DON'T just treat it as another order. We treat it personally.

Maybe that's why we have customers who will drive past 53 florists in Auckland just to order from us, and why online shoppers from all over the world (not just New Zealand) will save us to their 'favourites' or like us on Facebook.
